The 13th International Food Processing Show Djazagro opened Monday at the Exhibition Centre of Algiers, bringing together more than 600 exhibitors, with foreign firms accounting for 76 percent.
The economic event, to run until April 22, has been inaugurated by Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Abdelouahab Nouri and his Polish counterpart, Marek Sawicki, in the presence of Trade Minister Amara Benyounes and Minister of Youth Abdelkader Khomri.
In addition to foodstuffs, the event will feature food processing machinery and packaging equipment.
It will also display machines used in bakery trade, cake factories and restaurants.
Djazagro provides to “professionals investment and partnership opportunities.”
Foreign exhibitors at the trade show are from about thirty countries, including South Africa, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Spain, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Netherland, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia and Turkey.
