His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam yesterday consented to leave Langkawi, Kedah. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was in Langkawi to attend the 26th ASEAN Summit and the 11th Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Summit held in Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi, Malaysia on the 27th and 28th of April 2015.
Accompanying Their Majesties were His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Wakeel and Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah.
Before Their Majesties left the Danna Hotel, a Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr. Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
Prior to boarding the Royal Aircraft, Their Majesties consented to walk past a Static Guard of Honour mounted by 28 personnel of the Malaysian Armed Forces.
Present at the Langkawi International Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri were Yang Berhormat Dato’ Dr. Ku Abdul Rahman bin Ku Ismail, EXCO Member of the State of Kedah Darul Aman and wife; as well as senior officers of the Government of Malaysia.
Also present to bid farewell to Their Majesties were His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Alaihuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Lela Dato Seri Utama Haji Awang Mohamad Taha, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia, and wife; as well as officers from the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam in Malaysia.
Also accompanying Their Majesties were Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, the Second Minister of Finance at the Prime Minister’s Office; and Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, the Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
