On 28th April, H.E. Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico attended the 6th Anniversary of the Pacific Alliance organized by the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mexico at the former Senate Building in Mexico City. The event commemorated the establishment of the grouping as well as highlighted the achievements and challenges for Mexico, Colombia, PerA� and Chile as member states since 2011.

As part of the commemoration, three panelists spoke on Achievements and Challenges of the Pacific Alliance which was moderated by Senator Ms. Ma. del Rocio Pineda Gochi, member of the Commission of Foreign Affairs, Latin America and the Caribbean, Senate of Mexico. The panelists were H.E. Ms. Socorro Flores, Under Secretary of Latin America and the Caribbean; Mr. Juan Carlos Baker, Under Secretary of Foreign Trade; and Mr. Fernando Ruiz Huarte, Vice President of Governmental Relations of the Mexican Entrepreneurs Council of Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (COMCE). Among others, collaboration between Pacific Alliance and ASEAN was also mentioned by the panelists. The event ended with the inauguration of a Pacific Alliance Gallery by Senator Ms. Ma. del Rocio Pineda Gochi, the panelists as well as members of the diplomatic corps.
