MALAYSIA’S BUSINESS LEADER, IZAT EMIR HOPES PERDASAMA CONTINUES TO STRENGTHEN ECONOMY

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, – After 19 years helming the Malay Traders and Entrepreneurs Association Malaysia (Perdasama), Moehamad Izat Emir is confident that his struggles to strengthen Bumiputera economy through the association will be continued by the new leadership team.

Moehamad Izat, who led Perdasama since its inception, handed over the reins to a corporate figure, Matshah Safuan, at the 19th Perdasama’s annual general meeting.

Dubbed ‘Father of Perdasama,’ Moehamad Izat takes great pride in Perdasama’s achievements, and pledges he would continue to support the association, as it continued to stay relevant, by keeping in steps with challenges.

Boasting 16 branches and 16,707 active members, Perdasama has become a platform to provide exposure to its members, in attaining the qualities of successful entrepreneurs, who are competitive, not only locally, but also globally, he said.

“This is in line with what was espoused at the recent 71st UMNO General Assembly…to empower Bumiputera companies, in making global forays and embracing digital economy,” he told Bernama.
