Drain Upgrade At Kueh Siak Hong Road To Complete At Month-End – Mayor

KUCHING: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Datuk James Chan reminds road users to be cautious along Kueh Siak Hong Road in Sekama which is undergoing drainage upgrading work.

Chan who inspected the site on Thursday said the drain was being upgraded at a cost of RM25,000 in federal funding. The work, which began on Jan 22, is expected to be completed by end of this month.

Meanwhile, when asked if MBKS would install CCTV to tackle attacks on joggers in the city, Chan said it would be too costly and the area too big to install CCTV.

But I will work with the police and government to ask for CCTV installation, said Chan here Thursday.

He advised joggers to avoid running alone and to avoid dark areas.
