MALAYSIA’S CIMB INVESTMENT BANK WINS 12 TOP AWARDS FROM ALPHA SOUTHEAST ASIA

KUALA LUMPUR, CIMB Investment Bank has been crowned top in investment banking for its strong and innovative capabilities in the capital markets, equities, and trade finance space through 12 regional awards.

CIMB swept 12 awards at the Alpha Southeast Asia (SEA) Best Deals & Solutions Awards which included Best Bond House of the Year in Southeast Asia 2017 (CIMB Investment Bank Berhad) and Best IPO Deal of the Year in Southeast Asia 2017 (B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited THB11.5 billion IPO).

Best Wakalah Deal of the Year in Southeast Asia & Best Islamic Finance Deal of the Year in Southeast Asia 2017 (Southern Power Generation’s RM3.665 billion Sukuk Wakalah);

Most Innovative Wakalah Deal of the Year in Southeast Asia 2017 (BEWG (M) RM400 million Sukuk Wakalah);

Best Ijarah Deal of the Year in Southeast Asia 2017 (XL Axiata’s IDR2.18 trillion Sukuk Ijarah);

Best Loan Deal of the Year in Southeast Asia 2017 (PT Jasa Marga (Persero) IDR2.6 trillion structured Financing);

Best Islamic REIT Deal of the Year in Southeast Asia 2017 (Axis REIT USD42.3 million Islamic Placement).
