KPWKM to focus on employment, support system for caregivers of OKU
KUALA LUMPUR, The Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) will carry out two research projects that will be focusing on employment of Persons with Disabilities (OKU) as well as a support system for caregivers of OKU, this year.
In a statement, the ministry said the government, along with a private institution of higher learning, had also set up a job portal, known as SpecialJobs.com.my, dedicated to OKU.
The government, through the KPWKM remains steadfastly committed in adhering to the principles of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) that comprises full and effective participation and inclusion of OKU in the society, the statement said.
