Maxis unveils new concept store

KUALA LUMPUR, Maxis Bhd has unveiled its brand new concept store, transforming its current outlet into a unique destination for increasingly digital-savvy customers.

The outlet, located at the Gardens Mid Valley, is the first store to embrace the new concept.

Maxis chief executive officer Gokhan Ogut said the mobile operator plans to upgrade its outlets nationwide and introduce the new concept store in stages.

The new concept store is infused with a new design language and cutting-edge technology for a new level of personalised digital experience, and offers highly engaging, relevant and rewarding interactions for customers, he said after launching the concept store today.

Ogut noted that the new concept store is equipped with high technology digital screens, a customer service counter that looks more like a cafe with baristas, personal demos, robots and app-enabled self-services, allowing customers to enjoy a fully immersive retail experience.

Innovation is apparent throughout, with a modular design that is scalable and interchangeable, catering to the fast-evolving needs of shoppers, he added.

The store incorporates six features, including Maxis Interactive Retail Assistant (MIRA), a first-of-its-kind web application (app) that gives customers a peek into Maxis promotions, customised offers and more. All customers need to do is scan a QR code on a digital screen to set off their journey.

The store also provides a discovery app for all demo devices, fully immersive digital screens, retail analytics, RFID as well as Mobile-Point-on -Sales (MPOS) and wireless biometrics, which enables Maxis personnel to serve customers anywhere in the store.
