Cultural tourism important drive of Chinas Longyan economic development

KUALA LUMPUR, The 1st Culture and Tourism Industry Development Conference of Longyan, Fujian was officially unveiled in Gutian, Shanghang county in China recently.

Themed ‘Revolutionary Holy land, Hakka Homeland and Livable Longyan’, the conference was undertaken by Longyan Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, CPC Shanghang County Committee and the People’s Government of Shanghang County.

Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism head, Wu Xiande, during the opening ceremony pointed out the cultural tourism was a comprehensive industry which could be an important driver of the economic development.

In recent years, the CPC provincial committee and the provincial government paid high attention to the development of cultural tourism and taken culture and tourism as the key support for Fujian’s high-quality growth.

Taking the conference as an opportunity, Longyan expects to enhance communication by building the platform for industrial development, deepen connection among culture and tourism projects and boost the cultural tourism of the city.

Longyan warmly welcomes cultural tourism investors, operators and service providers to build successful businesses by taking advantage of Fujian and Longyan’s cultural tourism resources, according to a statement.

Activities held at the conference include cultural heritage performances, contract-signing on the cultural tourism projects, award presentations as well as launching ceremonies.
