Safa denies giving free tickets for Sabah-Kelantan match

KOTA KINABALU, The Sabah Football Association (Safa) has denied a report which went viral in social media that it is giving out free tickets for the Premier League match between Sabah and Kelantan at Likas Stadium tomorrow night.

Safa secretary-general Andrew Majanggim said in a statement today that the false report was put out by irresponsible parties.

He said tickets for the match will be sold at the regular price of RM25 for seats in the covered area and RM15 for open seats.

“The match starts at 9 pm and not 8.15 pm as stated in the false statement.

“The match will kick off a bit late compared to the previous matches because there will be some ceremony going on before and after the match in conjunction with the Premier League Cup presentation ceremony,” he said.

He said Sabah Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal and Safa acting president Datuk Peter Anthony would be present to watch the match and for the trophy presentation ceremony.
