‘I have no problem working with anyone who replaces Hassan’ – Mohd Khuzzan

JOHOR BAHRU, Former Johor PKR secretary Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar today stressed that he had no problem working with anyone ‘appointed’ by the party as the new Johor PKR chairman.

He said this following the proposal from a group representing Johor PKR divisions chiefs and grassroots leaders that the party president should appoint the Deputy Speaker of the Johor State Assembly and Batu Pahat MP, Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon, as the new state chairman, replacing Hassan Abdul Karim who is said to have expressed his desire to resign.

According to the State Health, Culture and Heritage Committee chairman, what mattered to him was that the party should continue serving the people.

“I have no problem working with anyone. What’s important is that we can serve the people,” he said when met by the media at the presentation of the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) certificate to the Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) football team for the record of winning the Super League six consecutive times, at the Johor Bahru City Square here, today.

Hassan was reported to have expressed his decision to resign on July 11 via the Johor PKR State Leadership Council’s WhatsApp group, and is said to be officially stepping down soon.
