Kevin Ramalingan parts way with MFL

KUALA LUMPUR, It is confirmed that Kevin Ramalingam has resigned as the Malaysian Football League (MFL) chief executive officer (CEO) effective Friday (Nov 29).

The matter which was verified by MFL in a statement also announced the appointment of Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan as acting CEO effective Dec 1 (Sunday).

Ab Ghani who was appointed by MFL president Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin to launch Malaysia League’s governing body will act as CEO until a new CEO is appointed.

“The decision was made with the concurrence of the board of directors after receiving Kevin’s resignation letter on Thursday (Nov 28) who will be pursuing a new career.

“MFL board members accept his decision and thank Kevin for his service to MFL and wish him good luck in his new endeavour said MFL.

Kevin was CEO of The Red Warriors Sdn Bhd before becoming CEO of Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (now known as MFL) in April 2015.

Speculation over Kevin’s resignation was rife when a blog said last night that yesterday was his last day with MFL.
