TRW calls on fans to support Kelantan, fill stadium during home games

KOTA BHARU Team Red Warriors (TRW) Sdn Bhd has urged Kelantan fans to support the team by filling the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium here during home games to ease the burden of debt borne by the Kelantan Football Association (KAFA).

TRW Sdn Bhd managing director, Datuk Wan Rakemi Wan Zahari said the debt situation had forced TRW to hold more friendly matches as the best alternative way to strengthen the team’s coffers through ticket sales, besides sponsorships and sale of merchandise.

“That’s not all, the friendly matches are also important for the coaching staff to build rapport within the team in facing the Premier League rivals this season.

“We hope the ’12th man’ (fans) can provide strong support each time Kelantan is in action,” he said in a statement here today.

Kelantan had before Jan 31, managed to settle the payments owed to its players and officials amounting to RM2.5 million to avoid the penalty of being cut off points by the Malaysian Football League in the Premier League competition
