PKNS’ Raya Campaign aims to help entrepreneurs facing COVID-19 challenges

KUALA LUMPUR Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), through its entrepreneur development division, has launched the “Raya Bersama PKNS” campaign to help entrepreneurs weather business challenges amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain said the campaign, conducted in strategic partnership with e-commerce platform Shopee Malaysia, was fully supported by the Selangor Information Technology & E-Commerce Council (SITEC) to expedite the development of the state’s digital economy.

He said the programme, now entering its second year, was expected to be an excellent platform for PKNS entrepreneurs to navigate the challenges during these trying times.

“Through this initiative, all PKNS entrepreneurs will converge on one landing page, which will be promoted at Shopee’s home page, and consumers can enjoy coins cashback of up to 20 per cent when they buy from PKNS entrepreneurs,” he said in a statement today.

The programme, which runs from April 15 to May 15, sees the participation of 51 entrepreneurs under the PKNS BizClub programme who offer products such as Raya clothes and cookies as well as beauty products and accessories in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

“The results of our campaign with Shopee last year were very encouraging. There were entrepreneurs who recorded sales of RM20,000 within a month.

“We are very excited and hope more entrepreneurs will be able to achieve such high sales. Our initiative with Shopee can boost the well-being and income of the people in Selangor. So, support our entrepreneurs in the state at,” he urged.
