Indonesia records 97,286 COVID-19 positive cases, 4,714 deaths

JAKARTA COVID-19 positive cases in Indonesia continued to increase to 97,286 cases, with another 1,868 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.

 

For the period noon yesterday until noon today, a further 49 deaths occurred, bringing the death toll to 4,714 people.

 

According to the latest data posted on the Indonesian government’s official website regarding COVID-19, www.covid19.go.id, a total of 54,752 patients are still under COVID-19 surveillance.

 

 

 

 

The province of East Java recorded the highest death toll at 1,572 people, followed by Jakarta (755), Central Java (554), South Sulawesi (293) and the rest in other regions in Indonesia.

 

The highest number of COVID-19 positive cases was also recorded in the East Java province at 20,256 cases, followed by Jakarta (18,741) and the rest in 32 other provinces.
