TECHFEST2020, Road to WCIT Malaysia to attract 4,000 participants — PIKOM

KUALA LUMPUR, The National Tech Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) expects its “TECHFEST2020” and “Road to World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) Malaysia” events will attract  4,000 international visionaries, captains of industry, government leaders and academics from over 80 countries.

To be held Nov 18-20, 2020 in Penang, the events are expected to build the momentum towards WCIT Malaysia which has been rescheduled to 2022.

The decision to reschedule was made after thoroughly reviewing the post COVID-19 recovery phase, PIKOM said in a statement today.

“Going ahead with WCIT Malaysia this year will not be possible, considering we are still in the recovery phase.

“However, we’ll begin creating a buzz this coming November with TECHFEST2020 Live Broadcast and Road To WCIT Malaysia, with exclusive invitations to decision-makers from the tech and innovation sectors,” said chairman, Danny Lee.

TechFest2020 will be a digital festival, featuring immersive virtual reality experiences and interactive programmes.

“It will feature insights from industry leaders, showcases of new technology and innovations, sharing of inspiring stories and documentaries from across the world,” Lee added.
