Sabah government-linked company, Sabah Softwoods Bhd (SSB), gave out 820 food baskets to people living in Kampung Kalabakan, Kampung Brantian and Kampung Sungai Udin who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The food baskets were delivered in phases since last Thursday (Jan 14), and since Kampung Kalabakan has many inhabitants, we started there with 600 baskets,” said SSB corporate communications manager, Sahruddin Paidi, in a statement today.
Next was Kampung Brantian with 90 baskets and then Kampung Sungai Udin with 130 baskets, he said.
Sahruddin said he hopes the corporate social responsibility (CSR) contribution will help them cope with the pandemic.
