Body of missing woman scuba diver found at Tanjung Po

The body of a woman who went missing last Saturday when scuba diving near Pulau Satang Besar was found 16.4 nautical miles north of Tanjung Po here by local fishermen today.

Sarawak Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) deputy director (Operations) Maritime Captain Yousry Yaali said the body of Chong Su Sian, 31, was found by fishermen at 9 am.

The body was taken by a marine police boat to the Telaga Air public jetty here at 1 pm.

‘’The body was identified through preliminary identification by her family members, he said.

‘’The remains would be surrendered to the police in Lundu for further action,’’ he said in a statement here.

On Saturday, the victim and five friends went scuba diving 23 nautical miles from Pulau Satang Besar here.
