297 new cops seen to bolster Caraga Region’s anti-crime drive

The Police Regional Office in the Caraga Region (PRO-13) welcomed Sunday 297 new personnel who completed their six-month training on Public Safety Basic Recruit Course. In a statement Monday, PRO-13 director Brig. Gen. Pablo Labra II said the new police officers will be assigned to various police units in the region to further boost anti-criminality and anti-insurgency drive in the region. This new batch of police officers includes 218 males and 79 females, who all passed the six-month basic training at the Police Regional Training Center in Surigao City. ‘Policing is not merely a job; it is a calling rooted in the fundamental principles of justice and the safeguarding of human rights,’ Labra said. He said the new police officers are “entrusted with the immense responsibility of upholding the law, maintaining peace, and ensuring the safety of every individual.”
