KUALA LUMPUR: The government’s initiatives to promote the production of electric vehicles by local industries will be a primary topic of discussion at today’s Dewan Rakyat session.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Khoo Poay Tiong (PH-Kota Melaka) plans to question the Investment, Trade, and Industry Minister regarding these efforts during the oral question and answer session, which is scheduled to commence at 10 am.
Another significant issue on the agenda is the query posed by Azli Yusof (PH-Shah Alam) to the Prime Minister. He seeks clarity on measures to restore faith among leaders and followers of GISBH, who are alleged to have strayed from the teachings of Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah. Azli will also inquire about government actions to safeguard the welfare of families and ensure education for children affected by GISBH’s deviation and the Op Global operation.
In addition, Mohd Hasnizan Harun (PN-Hulu Selangor) will address the Prime Minister concerning government strategies and initiatives to counteract o
nline scams. These scams have reportedly caused financial damages exceeding RM2.6 billion in less than three years. The discussion will also touch upon law enforcement measures in this context.
Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (MUDA-Muar) is set to question the Women, Family, and Community Development Minister regarding potential plans to increase the household income threshold for Social Welfare Department assistance applicants.
Following the question and answer session, the Dewan Rakyat will proceed with the debate and wind-up session for the Supply Bill 2025 at the committee level for relevant ministries.
