GUA MUSANG: The Ministry of National Unity (KPN) has allocated RM2.5 million for the implementation of the Kampung Angkat MADANI Programme in Kampung Batu Papan here. The ministry stated that the allocation includes 18 physical works aimed at improving basic facilities such as road infrastructure, clean water supply, telecommunications systems, and electricity supply to benefit the local community.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the selection of Kampung Batu Papan aligns with government criteria focusing on villages with less than 50 percent coverage of basic facilities or those with incomplete and inadequate infrastructure needing special attention. The Kampung Angkat MADANI Programme is being implemented to enhance access to basic facilities and community amenities through a whole-of-government approach.
The statement further elaborated that the physical works identified and ongoing include the installation of solar lights, repairs to the community hall and kindergarten, improvements to recreational an
d sports facilities, and upgrading of recreational and social infrastructure. This initiative is part of a broader effort introduced under Budget 2024 to improve access to basic facilities and community amenities nationwide.
The ministry’s efforts form part of the Kampung Angkat MADANI Programme, which has selected 42 villages across the country, involving a total allocation of RM100 million, to enhance the quality of life in underdeveloped areas.
