JAKARTA, Nov 2 (Bernama) — The Defence Ministry (Mindef) is promoting the country’s defence industry capability and the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2023 at the Indo Defence Exhibition 2022 here.
According to Mindef, the 16th edition of LIMA will be held from May 23-27, 2023 in Langkawi and is expected to be its biggest ever.
Several companies from various countries also signed agreements to take part in LIMA 2023 in conjunction with the Indo Defence 2022 Exhibition, Mindef said in a statement.
LIMA 2023 organiser Alpine Integrated Solution Sdn Bhd also plans to have additional exhibition space considering the encouraging response from industry players.
Mindef, through the Defence Industry Division, and 10 Malaysian companies, including LIMA 2023 and Defence Services Asia (DSA) Exhibition, today opened the Malaysian Pavilion in conjunction with the Indo Defence 2022 Exhibition.
Located at the Jakarta International Expo, the pavilion was officiated by Royal Malaysian Navy Deputy Chief Vice-Admiral Datuk Abdul Rahman Ayob and will be open until Saturday.
Also present were Royal Malaysian Air Force Deputy Chief Lt General Datuk Indera Muhamad Norazlan Aris and Defence Industry Division secretary Fazidah Mustafa.
