BUTUAN CITY: Two moderately strong earthquakes jolted parts of the Caraga Region on Friday.
A bulletin issued by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the first earthquake on Friday was recorded around 2:19 a.m. with a magnitude of 4.3 at 73 kilometers northeast off the coast of Bayabas, Surigao del Sur.
The second tremor was recorded at 12:01 p.m. with a magnitude of 4.5 traced 13 kilometers northeast off the coast of San Isidro in Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte.
Phivolcs recorded no intensities and no aftershocks were expected after the two tremors struck.
No damages were reported by the local government units and concerned agencies of the government in the region after the two earthquakes.
