A weekend-long celebration of the Brunei Food Festival 2015 was spiced up yesterday with the Food Eating Challenge. More than 10 contestants, including a woman, took part in the contest.
Bulks of foods along with mineral water were served for the food fest challenge.
One of the participants, Mohd Fadill from Malaysia said, “I am very thrilled to battle for the victory. Though I did not win, I enjoyed the challenge and overall my stomach is now filled.”
The organiser, Star Bugs Event Management, said that they were very careful with the foods used in the challenge so that no hard or raw foods were served and they ensured all the foods can be consumed easily.
“There are terms and conditions to join the contest. We are not allowing any underaged or senior citizens to participate this contest,” they added.
The organiser highlighted that the contestant battled for one hour to finish the foods. The winner wins a B$300 cash prize, while second and third place winners bring home B$150 and B$100 cash prizes respectively.
The prizes were handed over by the organiser to the winner yesterday. All the prizes were sponsored by Star Bugs Event Management.
