NS MB wants departments, agencies to spur tourism

TAMPIN, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun wants all state government departments and agencies to be proactive and creative to boost and promote tourism products in all districts in the state.

He said that this was in line with the state government’s aspiration that the tourism industry would become one of the factors to strengthen the economy of Negeri Sembilan.

”For example, there are many interesting places that can be visited in the district of Tampin such as the Tampin Mountain, Sungai Kelamah River Memorial, Kampung Londah Homestay, Datuk Nisan Tinggi Megalith, Gemas Old Railway Station, Tampin Water Park and Tampin Xtreme Park,” he said.

”These attraction would help to boost the reputation of Tampin as an interesting place to visit,” he said when closing the 2019 Tampin Eco Challenge at the Tampin Extreme Park here today.

”In fact, Tampin has an advantage of good road connections because other than the North-South Expressway, Tampin can also be accessed using federal roads, namely, through Rembau and Segamat,” he said.

”Tampin is also accessible via train at the Tampin and Gemas Stations,” he added.

On the 2019 Tampin Eco Challenge, jointly organised by the Negeri Sembilan Tourism Board and the Tampin District Council, Aminuddin said that he was confident such events would boost tourism in the district.
