Two Indian nationals escape flat fire with burns on legs

KUALA LUMPUR, Two Indian nationals sustained burns on their legs while trying to escape a fire at a flat in Taman Miharja, Jalan Loke Yew, today.

The two victims aged 20 and 32, who were believed to family members, were taken to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment.

A spokesman for Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) said in a statement that the department received information on the fire at 8.11 pm.

He said the fire which started from a room on the 10th floor of the flat was brought under control by 8.47 pm.

The operation involved 46 personnel from the Hang Tuah, Bandar Tun Razak and Cheras Fire and Rescue stations.
