CAMP GEN: Twenty-two lawbreakers, including 13 drug peddlers, were nabbed in different anti-criminality operations conducted by Bulacan police from Monday to Tuesday morning.
In a statement, Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan Provincial Police Office director, said that in Calumpit, two illegal drug dealers were arrested in Purok 1, Barangay Iba Este at around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Seized from the duo was a total of 19 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 25 grams and valued at PHP170,000, as well as buy-bust money.
In addition, a total of 11 drug personalities were arrested in a series of operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Malolos and police personnel from Baliwag, San Rafael, Bocaue and Balagtas.
The confiscated evidence included a total of 33 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 7.6 grams and valued at PHP51,680, and buy-bust money.
“The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for
appropriate examination, while criminal complaints for violations of RA (Republic Act) 9165 against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court,” Arnedo said.
Meanwhile, four persons wanted by law were arrested in a series of manhunt operations conducted by the police from San Jose Del Monte, Bocaue, Hagonoy and Plaridel.
On the other hand, personnel of Marilao police conducted an illegal gambling operation that resulted in the arrest of five illegal gamblers who were caught in the act of playing an illegal card game called “pusoy” in Barangay Lambakin.
“All accused are presently under the custody of the arresting unit/station for proper disposition,” Arnedo said.
