4 armed group members nabbed in S. Cotabato

Four men with pistols and hand grenade were arrested in Barangay Pulonuling in Tupi, South Cotabato, police said on Tuesday. Major JS Tolosa Pedrosa, Tupi municipal police station chief, said police operatives were about to serve a warrant of arrest against Latiff Soliman on Monday afternoon but instead found four of his cohorts in his safe house, who are suspected of facilitating his escape. ‘They did not resist arrest,’ Pedroza said in his report to the Police Regional Office -Soccsksargen. Police recovered from the group a fragmentation grenade, a .45-caliber pistol, a .38-caliber revolver, ammunition, and a sachet shabu. Pedroza said charges are being prepared against the four for violation of the Commission on. Elections Resolution No. 10918 or the election gun ban, Republic Act (RA) 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). The suspects are now detained at the Tupi municipal lockup cell
