Additional Facilities at Pahang Malaysia Sports School to Enhance Athlete Training and Education

Pahang: The construction of additional buildings and facilities at the Pahang Malaysia Sports School (SSMP) is set to create a more conducive learning and training environment for athletes, teachers, and staff. Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, in a Facebook post today, announced that the project involves the construction of new dormitories, covered pavilions, open multipurpose halls, staff quarters, synthetic hockey pitches, training fields, and various other facilities to meet the school's growing needs.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fadhlina emphasized the importance of SSMP in continuing to strive for excellence and producing sports champions who will make the nation proud on the international stage. She highlighted the school's impressive accomplishments, particularly in rugby. Fadhlina noted her close monitoring of the 'Falcons' team, which has achieved significant success by winning the Super Schools Rugby 2025 tournament at the national level and most recently becoming champions at the 2026 Asian Under-19 Sevens Rugby Championship.

Fadhlina expressed hope that SSMP would sustain its momentum and continue contributing significantly to the development of national sports.
