AM Best Publishes Comprehensive Review Of Asia-Pacific Insurance Markets

Kuala lumpur: AM Best has released an extensive analysis of insurance markets across the Asia-Pacific region, coinciding with its participation in the 2025 Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC). This marks the first time such a detailed examination of 16 countries, each at different stages of market development and growth potential, has been made available.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the comprehensive volume includes exclusive content on seven countries in South/Southeast Asia, seven in Northeast Asia, and two in Oceania. AM Best’s report examines the economic, political, and financial system risks inherent in each of these insurance markets. These country-risk factors play a crucial role in AM Best’s rating process, as they assess how these factors might impact an insurer’s financial obligations. The report further details how insurers handle these risks, incorporating them into evaluations of balance sheet strength, operating performance, and overall business profile.
