KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd and Amanah Raya Bhd (AmanahRaya) have announced an ambitious target of 15,000 new registrations for their Visa Platinum Credit Card-i within its first year of launch, aiming to cater to a demographic focused on family and future planning.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Bank Muamalat president and chief executive officer Khairul Kamarudin stated that the new Bank Muamalat AmanahRaya branded card is intended for individuals over the age of 25. The card offers several benefits, including the ability to make instalments, up to a 10 percent discount on selected AmanahRaya products, and additional special offers. The launch event for the credit card took place in Kuala Lumpur.
The card features a first-year annual fee waiver, a 0.5 percent cashback option, a balance transfer plan, and complimentary takaful coverage on outstanding balances and travel accidents. Khairul emphasized that the credit card initiative is part of an effort to facilitate smarter financial plannin
g and asset management for their customers.
Khairul also highlighted Bank Muamalat’s commitment to providing financial solutions that support wealth and legacy management across all societal levels. The credit card aims to encourage more individuals to engage in estate planning, thereby reducing inheritance-related complications and promoting economic stability.
