Kuala lumpur: Central Spectrum (M) Sdn Bhd has entered into a strategic partnership with Halal International Selangor (HIS) to create ‘The Magnet — Selangor Global HIS Village’ (The Magnet), an advanced hub aimed at serving as a global gateway for halal trade and investments. This was announced at the soft launch ceremony for the Selangor Halal4Vibe Fest 2025, held at the Pavilion Selangor in the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Central Spectrum, which is the master developer of Pulau Indah, highlighted that The Magnet is strategically designed to succeed in the modern halal economy. The hub will benefit from its direct access to Westports, one of the world’s busiest container terminals, proximity to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), and excellent connectivity to Malaysia’s major highway network.
The Magnet will move beyond the concept of a traditional industrial park to offer a comprehensive ecosystem with halal-compliant infrastructure. It will include 32 factory units, 14 food and beverage kiosks, collaborative event spaces, a rooftop garden, and advisory support from HIS. This integrated approach aims to support both halal SMEs and multinational corporations in scaling their operations.
The memorandum of collaboration was formalized between Central Spectrum’s chief operating officer Amran Abdul Wahab and HIS’s chief executive officer Muhammad Khushairi Mat Lasar. The event was witnessed by Selangor state executive council member Dr Mohammad Fahmi Ngah and Central Spectrum board member Mohd Zapi Abdullah.
Amran stated that the partnership will position The Magnet as a trusted destination for global brands looking to enter and succeed in the growing halal market through Selangor. Muhammad Khushairi emphasized that The Magnet represents more than just infrastructure, describing it as a future hub for halal innovation and growth. He added that the advisory support and world-class ecosystem will offer businesses a comprehensive solution, facilitating their participation and leadership in the global halal economy starting from Selangor.
