Cyclone Aircraft Reported Missing After Departure from Cauayan City

Isabela – A Cyclone aircraft, with tail number RP-C 1234, has reportedly gone missing after departing from Cauayan City Airport in Isabela on Thursday. The Cagayan Provincial Information Office, in a Facebook post, stated that the aircraft took off at 9:39 a.m. for Palanan Airport but lost communication, and the pilot could not be contacted.

According to Philippines News Agency, the aircraft was carrying Captain Levy Abul and one passenger. As of writing, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines has not responded to inquiries regarding the incident.

This disappearance follows a similar incident in January when another aircraft bound for Maconacon Airport in Isabela went missing. The last contact with the control tower was reported minutes after its takeoff and while in the vicinity of Naguilan Bridge. The wreckage of this plane was later discovered in March in Divilacan town.
