Deliver Easy To Understand Information To Reach The People.

KUCHING: The delivery of information that is easy for the people to understand, especially among rural communities, is one of the big challenges facing the government. Deputy Minister in Sarawak Premier's Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and Sarawak Public Communication Unit), Datuk Abdullah Saidol, emphasized the need for the public to receive clear information on how the government functions, as well as the role of elected representatives in disseminating this information. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Abdullah highlighted the issue of information on social media that can often be misinterpreted. He stressed the importance of ensuring that the public comprehends the activities of the government at both federal and state levels. Speaking on behalf of the Premier of Sarawak, Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, during the Kita MADANI Sarawak Carnival 2024, Abdullah noted that there are numerous inquiries from citizens regarding government initiatives that require thorough explanation. He mentioned the necessity of listening to public opinions to ensure that government policies align with community needs. Abdullah also stated that the Kita MADANI Carnival 2024 serves as an effective initiative to bridge the gap between the community and the government by enhancing understanding and promoting two-way communication. The programme aims to introduce and promote the concept of the Madani Community, which is a key objective of the unity government in fostering a more advanced and harmonious nation. Abdullah explained that the MADANI concept extends beyond economic progress and involves establishing a society that is forward-thinking, civil, and united. He described a MADANI society as competitive, civil, polite, and peaceful, with the capacity to live harmoniously despite its diversity. The Kita MADANI 2024 Carnival, organized by the Information Department, is taking place at the Penview Convention Centre and involves agencies under the Ministry of Communications in Sarawak, alongside other government depar tments and agencies. The two-day event features 24 exhibitions and 17 stalls from the MADANI Community, showcasing and selling handicrafts and local food products.
