Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives concluded the trading session on a lower note, reflecting the performance of the underlying cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the October 2025 contract dropped 8.5 points, settling at 1,603.5, while the November 2025 contract decreased by eight points to close at the same level of 1,603.5. The December 2025 and March 2026 contracts saw declines of nine points each, ending at 1,602.0 and 1,585.0, respectively.
Trading activity saw an increase, with turnover rising to 6,231 lots compared to 5,775 lots recorded on Thursday. Additionally, open interest grew to 46,471 contracts from the previous total of 45,516 contracts.
By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI experienced a decrease of 5.11 points, representing a 0.32 percent drop, bringing the index to 1,607.18 from the prior close of 1,612.29 on Thursday.
