FBM KLCI Futures End Higher Despite Lower Turnover

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the February 2026 contract rose three points to 1,754.50. Additionally, the March 2026, June 2026, and September 2026 contracts each increased by three points, reaching 1,733.5, 1,738.5, and 1,722.5, respectively.

Despite the upward trend in futures prices, turnover was lower at 7,515 lots compared to 8,574 lots on Wednesday. Open interest also declined, slipping to 42,200 contracts from the previous 43,707 contracts.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI itself saw a decrease, erasing 5.54 points to settle at 1,750.85, down from Wednesday's close of 1,756.39.
