Floods Force Kedah MB And Family To Relocate From Official Residence.

ALOR SETAR: Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor and his family were forced to relocate to a safer place after floodwaters inundated his official residence in Seri Mentaloon near here. According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Menteri Besar's special media officer Helmi Khalid reported that floodwaters at the official residence had been increasing since the morning. By evening, the water level had approached one metre after Sungai Anak Bukit, located behind Seri Mentaloon, overflowed its banks. Helmi stated that the Menteri Besar decided to move to a safer location earlier in the afternoon. He shared this information when contacted today. A video posted by Helmi on his social media showed Muhammad Sanusi carrying his daughter out of the residence as the water level reached his waist, which necessitated their relocation. Muhammad Sanusi's wife, Tok Puan Seri Jusmalailani Jusoh, along with their other children, were also seen in the video, carrying and lifting their belongings out of the floode d residence. Yesterday, reports indicated that the Kedah Menteri Besar's two-storey official residence, situated less than 100 metres from the banks of Sungai Anak Bukit, had been experiencing flooding since the morning.
