Four Men Arrested For Drug Trafficking In Melaka Tengah

Melaka tengah: Police arrested four men for suspected drug trafficking in two raids around Melaka Tengah on Jan 28. Melaka Tengah district police chief ACP Christopher Patit said that two men, aged 31 and 35, were arrested during the first raid in Tanjung Minyak, while another two men in their 30s were arrested in an oil palm plantation in Krubong in raids conducted from 1 pm to 4 pm.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, further checks on a house in Taman Bertam Setia following the first raid led to the discovery of 21 plastic packets filled with 26.68 grams of heroin. During the second raid, police found 50 plastic packets filled with 137.82 grams of heroin. In addition to the drugs, authorities seized three motorcycles worth RM11,500, with the total value of seizures, including drugs, amounting to RM17,000.

All suspects tested negative for drugs and have been remanded for seven days from Jan 29 to Feb 4. The case is being investigated under Section 38B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
