Singapore: Gamalux Oils Berhad made history yesterday when it was named the recipient of the BrandLaureate 20th Anniversary Special Limited Edition Best Brand 2025 award in the Sustainable Brand – Pioneer in Renewable Energy and Circular Economy Solutions category at a ceremony in Singapore. The award recognises the company’s success in transforming palm oil waste into high-value energy sources and raw materials.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Gamalux Oils’ chief executive officer, Usman Ahmed, who accepted the award, said it symbolises the company’s ongoing commitment to pioneering sustainability-driven innovation. “We believe that by converting palm oil waste into valuable energy and raw materials, we are not only helping the planet but also creating new economic opportunities, particularly within the circular economy framework,” he said in a statement today.

The recognition cements Gamalux Oils’ status as a global benchmark for sustainability innovation, demonstrating how every drop of palm oil waste has the potential to become a solution for the future. “We will continue moving forward with a spirit of innovation, smart collaboration and unwavering commitment towards a greener future,” Usman said.

The BrandLaureate award is among the region’s highest honours, recognising excellence in branding, innovation and leadership in sustainability. In 2016, Sarawak Energy received a similar award for its achievements in renewable energy innovation.
