Kedah: Kedah has fully recovered from floods following the closure of the last temporary relief centre in the Pendang district at 2 pm today. In a statement, the State Disaster Management Committee said the Dewan Kompleks Rakan Sukan Tanah Merah relief centre, which had been operating since Oct 25, was closed after all evacuees were allowed to return home.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, earlier this morning, the centre housed 46 evacuees from 12 families. Floods that struck Pendang on Oct 25 had affected several subdistricts, including Rambai, Padang Pusing, Padang Peliang, Padang Kerbau, Guar Kepayang and Tobiar.
