Melaka AKM Tour records nearly 80,000 visitors

MELAKA, Oct 16 (Bernama) — A total of 79,586 visitors attended the Melaka edition of the Keluarga Malaysia Aspirations (AKM) Tour held at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) in Ayer Keroh from Friday till noon today.

 

In a statement, the AKM Tour programme secretariat said the event also recorded RM5,030,900.26 in sales during the same period through 118 stalls run by small and medium entrepreneurs, 20 Citarasa Keluarga Malaysia booths, 10 food trucks and 12 Keluarga Malaysia Cheap Sales stalls.

 

“The Melaka AKM Tour, through the JaminKerja Keluarga Malaysia Career Carnival, has collaborated with 42 companies offering 5,259 vacancies.

 

 

 

“A total of 2,434 participants were called to attend the second interview, and 769 people have successfully received job offers,” the statement read.

 

The AKM Tour, which is the brainchild of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, is a continuation of the successful organisation of the 100-Day AKM programme at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Dec 9 to 12 last year.

 

Melaka is the 11th location of the tour after Johor, Perlis, Sabah, Terengganu, Perak, Kelantan, Sarawak, Selangor, Kedah and Negeri Sembilan.
