Kuala lumpur: Masjid Warisan, a garden-concept mosque with Madani-inspired architecture, is set to be constructed on Jalan Davis opposite Menara Exchange, marking a new landmark in the capital. Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Dr. Zulkifli Hasan, announced that the RM60 million project is anticipated to commence this year and aims for completion by 2028.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Masjid Warisan will occupy a 4.6-acre site and is designed to accommodate over 6,000 worshippers at any given time, catering to nearly 10,000 individuals in the surrounding Menara Exchange area. The mosque will incorporate the latest green technologies to meet modern needs, facilitating easier access for worshippers from nearby offices and premises without the necessity of driving.
Dr. Zulkifli emphasized the commitment to keeping the project on schedule and the importance of appointing credible contractors. He shared these details with reporters during a visit to the construction site. Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) chairman, Datuk Syed Kamarulzaman Syed Kabeer, was also present during the site visit.
