N. Sembilan KPDN targets 30 pct of Ramadan Bazaar lots to offer Menu Rahmah

SEREMBAN, March 9 (Bernama) — The Negeri Sembilan branch of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) aims to have at least 30 per cent of Ramadan Bazaar lots be set aside for the implementation of the Menu Rahmah concept.

Its director, Muhammad Zahir Mazlan said they are holding discussions and briefings with local authorities and organisers to provide Menu Rahmah to help the needy obtain reasonably priced food for the breaking of fast.

“At the state KPDN level, we have the Rahmah Ramadan Bazaar and we have extended it to the state government level. We are cooperating with the Seremban City Council and briefed 60 bazaar organisers in Seremban. We will do this in other districts on March 15.

“We will also have a business industry digitalisation team and, there, we will provide e-wallet tokens to traders and visitors to Ramadan Bazaars so that both parties benefit,” he told reporters after attending the Cintai Asnaf Back To School Walkabout, here, today.

He said that, as of today, a total of 35 registered eateries in Negeri Sembilan provided Menu Rahmah, including fast-food restaurants and supermarkets and he is convinced that many other entrepreneurs are doing the same on their own initiative.

Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Fuziah Salleh was reported to have said today that KPDN aimed to set up 50 Rahmah Ramadan Bazaars throughout the country during this fasting month.
