PUTRAJAYA, Feb 8 (Bernama) — The Foreign Ministry and the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), Malaysia welcome the involvement of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the humanitarian aid-delivery mission to Türkiye and Syria.

The ministry in a press release on Wednesday afternoon said all NGOs wanting to deliver aid to Türkiye and Syria need to register with NADMA via email spks@nadma.gov.my for coordination purposes.

For those who want to join the humanitarian aid mission to Türkiye, the details of the delegation as well as the list of aid and equipment that they want to bring also need to be informed via the email.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry held a discussion with 28 Malaysian NGOs which intend to channel humanitarian aid to earthquake victims in Türkiye and Syria, for the purpose of providing information on the current situation in the affected areas and coordinating the distribution of humanitarian aid in an orderly and safe manner.

According to the statement, a Türkiye and Syria Earthquake Disaster Fund under the supervision of the Foreign Ministry’s Disaster Fund will be launched in the near future to receive public donations for the victims of the disaster.
