Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today held a meeting with innovation economist Prof Dr Mariana Mazzucato, who is also the founding director of the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose from the University College London (UCL), the United Kingdom.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar posted on Facebook that the meeting discussed the importance of a mission-oriented strategy that encourages public-private collaboration to drive green investment, technological innovation, and digital transformation. The discussions highlighted the need to empower a modern and agile public service as the backbone of the country’s progress.
Prof Mazzucato shared her insights that Malaysia needs to address systemic challenges, strengthen its digital strategy, foster innovation, and build future-ready skills to ensure the success of the country’s long-term transformation. The collaboration aims to position Malaysia as a leader in innovation and digitalization, aligning with global trends and addressing domestic needs for sustainable growth.
