PM Concludes Family Trip To Johor, Heads Back To Capital On ETS3

Johor bahru: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed his gratitude after spending two days on a family visit in Johor, where he explored the state's historical and cultural heritage. 'Alhamdulillah, Johor (visit) completed,' he mentioned briefly to Bernama before boarding the ETS3 train at JB Sentral Station en route to Kuala Lumpur.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar was accompanied by his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, and KTMB's chief operating officer Afzar Zakariya. The prime minister and his family arrived at JB Sentral at 3.27 pm and were scheduled to leave on the Electric Train Service 3 at 4 pm. During their time at the terminal, Anwar interacted with visitors and took photographs with staff.

The previous day, Anwar had arrived in Johor Bahru via the same train service at 3.10 pm. Upon arrival, he visited Johor Zoo with his grandchildren, engaged with visitors, and received updates on the zoo's developments. He expressed his hope that the zoo would continue to serve as a recreational, educational, and heritage resource for the community.

In the morning, the prime minister also spent time at the Royal Abu Bakar Museum, which features royal collections and cultural heritage of the Johor Sultanate, set within an appealing landscape. Anwar, through a Facebook post, commended the Johor state government's efforts to enhance heritage assets and boost tourism, aligning with the Visit Johor 2026 aspirations.
