Qingyang: The 2025 Gansu Qingyang Qihuang Cultural Forum was successfully held on September 27th. Renowned experts and scholars in the field of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) from across China gathered to exchange views on the inheritance and innovative development of TCM culture.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Qingyang holds a significant place in the history of traditional Chinese medicine as the birthplace of Qibo, a legendary founding figure of TCM, and as the location where the monograph “The Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon” was compiled. The city is recognized as the cradle of TCM culture and is among the first national bases for TCM cultural promotion and education, earning it the title “Qihuang Hometown.” The region is home to 527 species of wild medicinal herbs, 69 of which are listed in the National Pharmacopoeia, with 25 included in export products.
