Kota kinabalu: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) deputy secretary-general Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali has issued a stern reminder to party leaders to avoid sabotaging the party if they are not chosen as candidates for the upcoming 17th Sabah State Election. Instead, he urged them to prioritize the party’s stability and interests above personal ambitions.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Armizan emphasized the importance of responsibility and loyalty to the party’s cause. “Don’t, just because of our personal interest in becoming a candidate, we destroy the struggle we have gone through together for so long. I hope our leaders have a sense of responsibility and awareness to ensure that the party’s cause remains the top priority,” stated Armizan, who also serves as the Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, during a media conference at the Kawang Community Development Leader’s Office.
Armizan’s comments came in response to concerns about potential sabotage from leaders who might not be selected as GRS candidates in the November 29 Sabah polls. The Election Commission has scheduled the nomination process for November 15, with early voting set for November 25.
