Sultan Of Pahang, Tengku Ampuan Urge Malaysians To Support Gaza Humanitarian Effort

Kuala lumpur: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have urged Malaysians to offer prayers for the safety and success of the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) humanitarian mission to Gaza. ‘May the GSF humanitarian mission to Gaza be successful,’ Their Royal Highnesses expressed in a message shared on the Kesultanan Pahang official Facebook page.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the humanitarian flotilla, consisting of 24 vessels, departed from the Port of Barcelona for Gaza on September 1. The mission includes over 1,000 international participants from 44 countries, with 15 representatives from Malaysia. The next phase of the mission is set to involve a second group of 15 Malaysian delegates departing from an Italian port on September 4, joining international participants on their journey to Gaza. This will coincide with the deployment of a third Malaysian group, currently stationed in Tunisia.

The GSF mission brings together an international coalition from Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. All participating delegations are committed to non-violence, viewing the flotilla as both a humanitarian mission and a symbol of global solidarity with the people of Gaza.
