Three People Survive Unscathed After Tree Crushes Cars

Penang: Three people escaped unhurt when a tree fell and crushed the two cars they were in at Jalan Mount Erskine here early today. Penang Fire and Rescue Department Operations Division assistant director John Sagun Francis said they received an emergency call at 12.35 am.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, upon arrival, the team found two vehicles, a Perodua Viva and a Perodua Bezza, crushed under a fallen tree. The three victims inside the two cars managed to escape before the rescue team arrived.

The statement from John Sagun Francis revealed that a man and a woman were in the Perodua Viva, while the Perodua Bezza was driven by a man. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

He added that the Operations Response Team (PKO) carried out tree-cutting and removal work using specialised equipment, and the operation concluded at 3.29 am.
